Shortly after the explosion of Gorgopotamos, Loukas and Christoforos, the Cypriot students who study in Athens and live in the house of Kyra-Anthi, decide to join the Greek army and try to escape to the Middle East. With the help of Papa-Sinesi and a cabaret singer, they leave with other patriots on the shores of Asia Minor, but in front of Samos they fall on a German frigate and Lucas is pierced at sea. The evil blanket goes to Cyprus and shelters his beloved Aphrodite in pain. The priest of Aphrodite decides to marry her with Telis. At the end of the war, Lucas returns to Islam and complains to Aphrodite but her priest obliges him to scribe that he does not love her
