Louise is married to a shipowner who dies. Her husband's brother, Petros, manages to seize the entire property, leaving her hanging. Her daughter, Anna, is studying at a prestigious university in the United States and does not know the drama of her mother, who has been forced to become a singer in a popular center in order to pay for her studies.
