Continuation of the series "Proverbs". The theme of the new trilogy is the great, grace-filled power of repentance and forgiveness. The power that can transform the soul, regenerate a person, inspire him to life in God. The action of the picture takes place in the XIX century. Place and time are allegorical, because the temptations are the same in all ages, only the scenery changes. The first story is based on a case described in the books of Metropolitan Benjamin and Sergius Nilus. The thief, about to steal, asks for help from St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. What a ridiculous request! But the Lord is merciful, and His holy saint appears personally to reason with the sinner. The second part of the trilogy offers a Christian understanding of the problem of the relationship between generations - old people and grandchildren, fathers and children. The parents of a little boy confused good and evil, but a pure child, like a mirror, reflects the behavior of adults. And... awakens their conscience. The third story is an adaptation of a well-known oriental parable. The main character made many mistakes, breaking his life. But sorrows and hardships made his heart wiser. Now he seeks to teach his quick-tempered son not to hurt people, to try to avoid mistakes that are so hard to fix later.
