In the early years of the Republic of China, it is rumored that at the puppet theater, there are successive cases of rickshaw pullers going missing and an additional puppet appearing thereafter. The police are ordered to investigate it. However, with the company of the theater manager, they discover nothing unusual. On the night after the police left, halfway through the performance, everyone in the theater disappears out of thin air, leaving only Zijun. Unexpectedly, a puppet comes to life and begins to chase after Zijun.
