The Cultural Revolution, which swept through Chinese society for 10 years from 1966 to 1976, is the history of the Chinese version of the Holocaust. The Cultural Revolution, which carried out an all-out class struggle under the slogan of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, not only set back China's political, economic and social development for more than 30 years, but also destroyed the moral order and left deep scars on the Chinese people's emotions, leading to the 'lost'. It gave birth to the Cultural Revolution Generation, also known as the 'One Generation'. But on the other hand, the Cultural Revolution, which thwarted Mao Zedong's socialist experiment, is the most important key to understanding China's changes before and after Deng Xiaoping. Through the Cultural Revolution, we find out why China gave up Mao Zedong's 'ideal' socialism and chose the 'reality' of Chinese-style capitalism symbolized by Deng Xiaoping's reform and opening.
