Dans la peau du légionnaire romain
Opis filmu
Opis oryginalny: francuski
The image of the Roman legionnaire is often very stereotypical and superficial, limited to the figure of the intrepid, efficient and disciplined fighter. Associated with the conquering power of Rome, he saw himself reduced to his warlike activity. Objects as well as correspondence unearthed on the sites of ancient Roman garrisons, such as Vindolanda in the north of England or the Fourvière hill in Lyon, shed new light on the daily life of their occupants. Gradually a more intimate, more human portrait of the Roman legionnaire emerges, outside the battlefield.
