In the 40s to 60s of the last century, horizons seem to open in all directions in science, art and technology. Cybernetics, multimedia art and military research set the foundations of modernity anew. This becomes the basis for today's globally networked machine systems governed by mathematics, logic and binary codes. "The Net" shows designers, machinists and agents of these systems. One gets out, and tries to stop the machines.
