Nothing but fields spread out between Löwenberg and Gransee, fields and a few paddocks. Who is stopping there? Fortunately, Volker Koepp stopped because how else would we have heard of Gotthold Gloger, who, as a hobby historian, searches the local garbage dumps for all kinds of curiosities and repeatedly unearths highly amusing and exciting documents. Or Louis Fournier, known by everyone as Furnier, who came to Häsen as a French slave laborer and who ultimately love never left. The film wonderfully links the development history of the small town of Häsen with the lives of its residents, who talk about themselves both happily and thoughtfully.
