De kinderen van Truus
Opis filmu
Opis oryginalny: niderlandzki
The decisiveness and perseverance of this Dutch woman means that she belongs in a very select group of resistance heroes in the world. Yet this resistance heroine remained relatively unknown in the Netherlands until now. Thanks to her tireless efforts, ingenuity and courage, Truus Wijsmuller brought more than 10,000 mainly Jewish children to safety in the darkest years of our modern history. Her negotiations with Adolf Eichmann, in the lion's den in Vienna, marked a breakthrough in the organization that would later become one of the largest rescue operations in history; the so-called 'Kindertransports' that save thousands of children's lives.
