People of all nations find shelter in a disused harbor silo that has been converted into a hotel “Paradies”. Only the children quickly become friends in this emergency community and call themselves the "honey cuckoo children". They are also the ones who track down the harassment and criminal machinations of the lousy hotel owner Schmuck and his youthful gang. With two musicians also living in the “hotel”, they put an abrupt end to injustice with courage and wit.
