The Schlei - a river landscape like from a picture book. The Baltic Sea fjord attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Away from the nostalgic cities, the Schlei is home to many animals. In spring sea eagles raise their young and in autumn the fallow deer fight for the privilege of the fittest. The documentary accompanies the diverse fauna of the Schlei over a year.
