Mirjam von Arx had cancer when her partner Herbert had a fatal accident while base jumping. The filmmaker cannot understand that he risked his life while fighting for hers. She seeks closeness to Herbert's base jump friends and slowly begins to understand that the jumpers are not interested in dying. They jump to live, to feel life.
