The island of Sylt is not just a playground for the rich and famous, it has much more to offer. More than half of the area of the island and the surrounding Wadden Sea are protected. Rügen, the older sister of the Baltic Sea coast, is famous for its long sandy beaches and seaside resorts, Cape Arkona for the limestone cliffs and the steam locomotives of the narrow gauge railway “Rasender Roland”.
