Gianikian's father reads pieces from his diary. This portrait saves Raphaël Gianikian’s four years of slavery in Kurdistan from oblivion. This celebration responds to another, at the end of the film: the actor Walter Chiari reacts, in this way, to Raphael's memories by singing for him, against the light of a rock church.
