In the last decade, Peru has conquered the world with its ingenious, tasty and diverse gastronomy. Its star dish is ceviche, a preparation of raw fish marinated in lemon, accompanied by chili, sweet potato, yucca and corn. Touring the North Coast of Peru, the Amazon and Lima, this documentary explores the historical, culinary, environmental and socio-political aspects of this dish native to the seashore, prepared and consumed in Peru, in its ancestral form, since pre-Columbian times.
