If the scorpion can see, and the viper can hear, there is no escape ”. The viper is deaf and the scorpion is blind; in the same way that the countryside is peaceful and the city is agitated and the human being is impossible to satisfy. Lacrau demands a return "to the curve where man got lost" in a trip from the city to nature, to escape the chaos and emotional emptiness that we call "progress".
