Le déluge du Saguenay : une tragédie humaine
Opis filmu
Opis oryginalny: francuski
July 1996. Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Côte-Nord and Charlevoix are hit by monster floods which destroy dams, roads, land, businesses and houses in their path. Result: 10 dead, 16,000 people evacuated, 50 towns and villages flooded and $ 1 billion in damage. Twenty-five years later, Michel Barrette returns to his native region to remember the circumstances and the extent of the tragedy. In particular, it collects the testimony of those who were at the heart of the disaster: witnesses, relatives of victims, disaster victims, soldiers, rescuers, engineers, politicians and journalists. The host also visits iconic places, starting with the Little White House, which has been able to keep up with the devastating current. Several archive images make us relive the emotions provoked by the drama.
