Comedian, impersonator, singer, the aptly named Thierry Le Luron was for ten years, until his untimely death in 1986, the most caustic satirist of French political life. Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, François Mitterrand, Jacques Chirac, Raymond Barre and Georges Marchais were his favorite targets.
