Award winning documentary. Petra and Peter Lataster film his artistic parents, whose deteriorating health in old age is slowly separating them. Ger is a painter, and Hermine a photographer. After a long marriage, he has become deaf while she is suffering from dementia. Their daily life with its fixed rituals is approaching the point where it cannot continue anymore, and the unavoidable moment of farewell is closing in.
