Struggling to survive during the dark years of the German Occupation of Greece, Dimitra, the widow of the brave Greek Air-Force officer, Major Nikiforos Avgeris, has a chance encounter with Charis: a man who bears a striking resemblance to her late husband. As a result, for the sake of Dimitra's young daughter, Natasha, Charis agrees to pose as her missing-in-action father; however, he has already caught the eye of the Germans who are convinced that he is the real Avgeris. Now, a tragic fate awaits the selfless patriot. Will Charis continue to pose as the deceased pilot to the bitter end? —Nick Riganas
