Marie, an 80-year-old woman with terminal cancer, has decided to end her life as she wishes. She sets off on a journey accompanied by her somewhat dysfunctional family and Rudy, a kind-hearted carer she has just met. Unable to reveal her true intentions, Marie invents a story about an inheritance in Switzerland to convince her unreliable and distracted son Bruno, granddaughter Anna and Rudy to go on the trip in their old camper van. But will Marie find the courage to reveal the true purpose of their trip as they approach Switzerland, and how might her family react to the devastating truth?
