The ZDF authors Anne Herzlieb and Christian Esser accompany the children in class 8b and their teachers for half a school year. The film gives rare insights into the life of teenagers in the problem area and into their everyday school life, which is often not about subjects like math or German, but about giving children a chance without a chance.
