Mrs. Margot Tatham, happily married, has to spend a few months in Egypt for health reasons. There she made an acquaintance with a young Australian who developed into a little flirtation. When this game suddenly threatens to get serious, Margot returns to England, frightened and longing for the solidarity of their marriage. There she bursts into a party that her father-in-law is giving for an old friend of the house. Among the guests: the seductive Kitty Lake, who has been keeping an eye on Willie Tatham for a long time. And just as Kitty kisses Willie in the study, Margot bursts into the scene to confess the Egyptian interlude to her husband.
