"I dreamed my life, I dreamed it very hard," he says. In the suburbs of Newcastle, where he was born in 1951, his mother was a hairdresser and his father was a former shipyard worker, who had been converted into a milk delivery boy. After having grasped the guitar of one of his uncles who left to settle in Canada as a teenager, the young Gordon Sumner joined, as singer and bassist, the group The Police in 1976. The celebrity will hit hard and their hits will lift him to the top. In 1984, having become Sting, he regained his freedom to pursue a flourishing solo career. Since then, venturing gracefully into different musical universes, from jazz to R'n'B, from pop to classical, this accomplished musician, keen on literature, has never ceased to follow his intuition, while showing himself listening to others and the world.
