The Birds of Winter

Follows the preparations of several wild bird species for their great adventure. With the coming of winter, these birds make a long and perilous journey over half of the world every year. The documentary follows a flock of birds travelling from northern Finland down south. Their winter refuge is the Iberian Peninsula, providing an abundance of sustenance and suitable nesting conditions. This is temporarily until they set off on their return journey in the spring.
