The film portrays the daily work of child and adolescent psychiatry in Tulln as a permanent balancing act between caution and pressure, routine and improvisation. Concise observations in the Direct Cinema mode condense into a touching, disturbing questioning of an institution and its social function: What help can the clinic provide in the short time until the children and young people return to their everyday lives?
